Kilchoan Visitor Policy

Visits by Appointment Only:

All visitors to The Chapel and gardens must be by scheduled appointment only.
Please email Melissa Oatts on factor@kilchoanestate.co.uk or telephone 01852 200500 to make an appointment.

Visiting days and hours:

Visiting days are Tuesday and Thursday between 0830 and 1630.

Accessible areas:

Please refer to the Kilchoan garden map for the areas that are open to the public and refrain from entering all private areas.

Parking:

Visitors are asked to park in the parking spaces next to The Chapel.
Vehicle sharing is encouraged as parking is limited.

Sign-In Requirements:

On arrival and departure all visitors must sign in and out of the Estate, this can be done at the stand next to the Estate Offices.
Please help yourself to a Kilchoan grounds map which outlines restrictions and out of bounds private areas.

Visitor passes:

All visitors much wear a clearly displayed visitor pass.
Employees will challenge persons in the grounds who do not display the visitors pass.
Unauthorised visitors will be asked to leave the premises.

Dogs:

Dogs must always be kept on a lead.

Group size and limits:

The maximum party size is 12 people. And the maximum number of visitor passes allocated per day is 12.

Restricted access:

There will be times, due to key operations, that the Estate will be closed to visitors.

Donations:

Donations towards the Kilchoan Melfort Trust’s charitable objectives welcome.
Suggested donation is £10 per person

Photography:

No photography please.

Disclaimer

The Kilchoan Estate includes both manmade and natural surfaces and structures, many of which are exposed to the weather.

Whilst health and safety are our top priority it is not possible to remove all hazards, and visitors are invited here at their own risk.

In signing this visitor policy, you accept responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and any children and pets under your control.

In particular you agree to watch your footing, observe all signs and notices, follow safety instructions provided and closely supervise children and pets in your party, especially in the vicinity of water or steep slopes.

You also bring your vehicle and belongings onto the Estate at your own risk, and we do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
